  1. This Great man has the world cheering. North and South Korean have finally had their leaders under one roof. This was started and finished by President Trump. If this great man doesn't get a Nobel piece prize, then its definitely rigged. I mean Obama got one and what did he do? Not one damn thing!

  2. If you escape from North Korea you are a hero to me
If anyone sees this comment and has a friend or family member that escaped from North Korea tell them there a hero

  3. This man's epic story shouldn't have been reduced for some anticlimactic political reason, but I suppose that's the stuff of a provocateur like President Trump.

  4. The reason I played this was to hear the part about how he met and is now helping Christians. Guardian, don't you want people to know that the north Koreans hate Christians the most, torture them more severely and try to eliminate the TRUTH?

  5. The irony of this moment is astounding. Here is a North Korean amputee waving his crutches in front of a cheering crowd of Republicans who would have denied him medical treatment had he been living here. The only reason this man lives is socialized medicine. Cheer that, President Greatgenes.

  6. That moment brought tears to my eyes.  All Americans should read "The Aquariums of Pyongyang", written by another brave defector.  The life of the average North Korean is unimaginably miserable.  God willing, they will be free some day soon.

  7. The guardian cut out the part about how he met Christians and resolved to be free. Ask yourselves this: why would the guardian cut that part out? The answer is clear.

  8. that's a very sad story may God bless and take care of him and his family. He's carrying his cross and he's moving forward,

  9. I feel very lucky to live here in the USA. It's unbelievably sad how some people live their lives in this world.
People can be so cruel. My heart goes out to the North Koreans…
